I should have started this blog a long time ago but for some reason whatsoever it took me until now to do so. That on the side, Let me give you a quick recap to make things easy. I’m a young pastry chef, born in Belgium and since my graduation from the culinary institute of Bruges on my way trough the pastrylandscape. After working in several pastry and chocoladeshops in Belgium and winning the gold medal in the Dutch Pastry Awards in 2008, I became member of the Dutch Pastry Team and moved from Belgium to the United Kingdom to try my luck in the tough Michelinstar filled restaurantscene of London.
Now two years later I have a nice Michelinstar experience behind me and as a member of the Dutch pastry team I keep flying frequently over the pond to Belgium or the Netherlands for demonstrations, workshops and team meetings. On this blog I’m going to try and keep you updated about the next steps on my road to hell and sweetness and share my ideas, trips, visions and recipes.
There rests me only one thing and that is saying “welcome”. Welcome on my road to hell and sweetness. A Road that I have been traveling for a few years now, sometimes with ups, sometimes with downs, but always with one thought on my mind…“Becoming a great pastry chef”.
