The deadline is over, 31 january 2011 was the last day for sending in your inscription for the C3 competition of valrhona, the biggest and most prestigious restaurant dessert competition in the world. For the third edition of this competition created for restaurant professionals, Valrhona chose "Manjari chocolate and flavours of Madagascar" as their theme. The competition has three main stages starting with the inscription of your created dessert before the 31 january 2011. After your inscription they will select six winners for each of their six groups (France, Spain, Italy America, Asia and the rest of Europe/Middle-East) who will go to a semi-final and the winner of every group will go to the big final held at the Madrid fusion trade show in january 2012.

Six months ago i decided to enter and started to create a restaurant type dessert for the competition. i started sketching, looking for ingredients, creating recipies, testing recipies and doing tastings with different chefs, and finaly one day before the deadline i can say i'm there. Ofcourse i can not show you any actual pictures of the dessert or show the recipies on the blog, but i can say that the dessert is finished, the recipies are typed and the inscription form is filled in and is of to Tain L'Hermitage. So everybody thumbs up! and at the end of february we will see if i made it to the semi final!!!
