Going home for christmas

For the past month I've been going home for Christmas but unlike most of you I did not do that to celebrate Christmas and New Year...but I did to work. I've been going to Belgium in my days off to help out my parents with the christmas preparations in their pastry shop in Leuven. With the holidays around the corner they can use all the help they can get. Chocolates,  Marzipan, Petit-fours, Verinnes, Small pastries & desserts and of course the famous Christmas yule-logs need to be prepared...so more then enough work to keep me busy for multiple days.  Anyways...I finished my last days in Belgium Last week and I'm happy that I could help my parents out during this hard period. I had a good time, worked hard, Saw my family and my little princess Roxanne...and now I leave with a bag full of Belgian sweet Christmas treats back to London to work some more in the arts club ;-) I took a few pictures from the shop and the work to share with you guys, I hope you enjoy it. And by this way I would like to wish all bakers and pastry chefs, especially  my parents good luck for Christmas and New year and of course to everybody a happy 2012!
