Bakery Days 2012

Last week I went for three days to Holland to join my colleagues of the Dutch Pastry Team at the Bakery Days 2012. The Bakery Days is a big Bakery/Pastry exhibition in Amsterdam, It's three days of pastry madness and we were right in the middle of it with our own Dutch Pastry Team booth where we gave demonstrations, went head to head during our fearce pastry battles and most important, we host the "Dutch Pastry Award 2012" to decide who is Holland's number 1 pastry chef of the year. All of us had to prepare different things to do during these three days. I had prepared a chocolate showpiece for in the booth and had all my stuff with me to demonstrate the popular Arts club thin apple tart. But we were not the only exiting thing going on there, on the other side of the hall there was the European championship boulangerie where eight of Europe's best country's were fighting for "Les pellons do'r" with beautiful bread and viennoiserie creations as a result. A long story short it was a beautiful three days full of pastry passion and excitement which I bundled in a few pictures for you guys. See you there next year?!?
