Different directions 2.0: Breakfast for champions

After a while I tought it was time for a sequel of my earlier post "Different directions" where I take a dish out of the blue and turn it into a dessert. So after my pastry take on a Summer Salad, I now have taken a look at are breakfast rituals.

For years and years Kellogg's is telling us that Frosties is the breakfast of champions. A full bowl of Frosties covered in milk should give us power to last trough all of are daytime duties, It is also a super crunchy and Gr-r-reat-tasting breakfast cereal according to the company of Mr. Kellogg. So I decided to turn this breakfast of champions into a super crunchy Gr-r-reat tasting dessert.

But with frosties and milk alone you can not make a dessert, So i add some other key ingredients who make the dessert a bit more interesting. First I added corn to the dessert which is a basic ingredient in the making of breakfast cereal and it speaks for itself that this would fit in with the milk and the frosties. Further i also added honey, because it brings out that special kind of sweet flavour you get from a bowl of cereal. Now that i got my four basic ingredients for my makeover i can start. I used the frosties to make an ice cream and a crumble. The milk part consists of a foam, a milkgel and some original frosties flakes covered in a milk layer. The honey is used in a panna cotta and the corn became a powder and a tuile.

So there it is, the dessert make-over of the breakfast of champions. Gr-r-reat tasting and super crunchy with enough power to get you trough the day. enjoy!!!
