Oblix

I can finally tell you guys a bit more about my pastry plans for this year without getting my head blown of by my bosses, but what was a secret for months, now has been revealed! I will be head pastry chef of Oblix at the Shard.

The new restaurant will be located on the 32nd floor and will boost breathtaking views over London. The restaurant is inspired by a New York style grill and will serve a combination of American, British and European dishes. It won't open it's doors until the spring falls down upon our shoulders but It's already one of the most anticipated London restaurant openings of 2013.

As you can already guess, I will be running the pastry in this impressive new project, and for the past months I've been working round the clock to make this a success. In the following months I will be working hard on testing the dessert menus for the restaurant and lounge but of course the outcome of this is still secret but no worries, I will throw you dogs a bone once in a while so you have an idea of what's going on.

    1. Dear Melita

      Thanks for following the blog.
Myself I went to "Ter groene Poorte" in Bruges, Belgium where I studied pastry for 7years.

If you are looking to study bakery and pastry in holland then I recommend you to get in touch with Vicky Littlejohn, she is the director of the bakery institute in wageningen. That's probably the best place in the Netherlands to learn for pastry chef.

I hope that was any help to you. Keep following the blog and spread the word

      Greetings

      Jurgen
